SAN ANGELO– The hottest ticket in town with the best “shingdig” party, featuring this year’s live entertainment, the Tejas Brothers, was completely sold out with 600 plus, tickets. The 2nd annual San Angelo Firefighters Ball was held at the McNease Convention Center on Saturday, December 8, 2018.



After opening flag ceremonies, the National Anthem, etc. SAFD Assistant Chief, Todd Sanford, was presented with a gift of appreciation from the SAFD wives.

The “let’s get this party” dancing the night away got jump-started with “Tex-Mex meets Honky Tonk” music with the five member band comprised of Dave Perez – Accordion, brother Joe-Saxophone, John Garza – Bass, James Shelton - Pedal Steel and Tim Crispin – Drums.
The Tejas Brothers were this year’s 2018 live entertainment to perform at the 2nd annual, San Angelo Firefighter’s Ball which was held from 6 p.m. to midnight at the McNease Convention Center on December 8.

The Tejas’ music has various styles of music, ranging from Tejano polka, blues rocker, etc. One popular 70s favorite cover song played by the Band was “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights” by legendary, Mexican American Tejano, country and rock and roll musician, Freddy Fender.

A silent auction was also held during the evening; all of the money raised goes to the San Angelo Firefighters Foundation to help the San Angelo firefighters. Kenny Blanek catered the affair.
