Let It GO! Celebrated with an 80’s themed 1M /5K walk/run race. The first 50 race registrants received a goody bag that included a t-shirt. Awards were handed out shortly after the race.

Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley invited Donnie McBee to be its guest speaker at the 14th annual Let It Go Rally & Run.

ADACCV’s keynote speaker, Donnie McBee was interviewed by Conexión prior to his remarks to staff and attendees. For McBee it was about gratitude and the foundation he received from the nonprofit.
“They helped me save my own life from the disease of addiction.” McBee found that his addiction was deeply rooted in feelings of resentment, fear and anger. McBee used drugs to escape from reality.
“It lasted my entire adult life until someone greater brought me to San Angelo, Texas” he said. Donnie has been clean now for eight years; he currently works for Reece Albert where he has been a lead driver for the past three years.
“Anybody can get clean, but it’s about staying clean.” “That comes through being held accountable to ADACCV and its’ 12-step fellowship program” concluded McBee.

Afterward the nonprofit organization led everyone in releasing hundreds of colorful balloons that represent persons “letting go” of their addiction to drugs and alcohol.
