SAN ANGELO – On the first weekend of the New Year, Saturday, January 5th, Mr. & Mrs. Josue/ Crystal Talamantes' gave their 15-year-old daughter, Ali, a Quinceañera, that was both memorable and special.

Ali's 15th birthday party was held at the McNease Convention Center.
Ali at the age of 15, so wise beyond her years, eloquently said in her speech to her familia, “Thank you, mom and dad for making this the most wonderful birthday ever!” “I will remember this for a lifetime.”

Ali's touching tribute also included her sister, grandmother and nine-year-old sibling, brother, Zane, whom she lovingly said was “soo funny!”

Nine-year-old Zane, brother of Ali Talamantes brought his "A" game looking stylish my man!

To Ali’s big sis, Sierra "for always being there when I needed to talk. . ." On loving remarks about her Nana, "My biggest cheerleader and my dearest friend." “I’m so happy I have the memories I have with you; from birthdays, to holidays to simple things like just hanging out to talk. . .” Ali concluded by saying that she was so grateful for everything her grandmother has taught her to be a, “better me.”

To the two people that have never failed her in life. . ." both of you, my parents, have always been my #1 supporters in all that I do." "Mom, thank you so much for working so hard in putting this event together for me." "For taking countless hours
to make sure everything would be perfect today, and it is, it' beautiful!" "Knowing that a mom [like mine] will always totally 100 percent have my back is priceless."
Ali stated that her mother, Crystal always told her "that no one was to make her or her siblings feel like they are second class to anyone else."

“Dad, thank you for telling me what I am capable of.” Ali was grateful for what her father taught her about life and sports. One quote she hung her hat on so to speak was what her father said, “Pain is temporary, but quitting is forever.”

Ali said her Dad always, always put his kids first above everything else, including sports. This one particular time Ali told the story to her court and friends about the time she was pitching in a game and started to experience pain.
Her fingertips got blistered, and she began to bleed profusely. Josue came to the mound because he could see from the dugout that she was having difficulty pitching and blood was dripping on the ground.

Even though her Dad taught her that “pain was temporary, but quitting was forever,” this wasn’t about that quote then. This was about what was in the best interest of a Father’s love for his child—her health.
Ali didn’t quit because she was hurting; her Father pulled her from the game because he believed it was in her best interest. He was more concerned about his daughter than the game.

“Ali concluded with this quote that she lives her life by. “Put everything in God’s hands and see what He does.”

Ali's Quinceañera court was comprised of 15 couples, many of whom were her good friends.

Later in the evening Ali’s court, family and friends danced the night away to one of the best young DJ's Lil Mario.

DJ Lil Mario, Latin DJ who spins mixes of hip-hip, Tejano and other genres for a unique blend. Book Lil Mario for your club, or quinceanera!
