SAN ANGELO – “Santa Claus is comin' to town.” One of the most famous Christmas holiday classics of all time rang true when “Old Saint Nick” came in from the North Pole to take up residence for a four-week stay at the Sunset Mall. Parents brought their children who were excited to get a close up of their favorite “adopted relative.”

Prior to Santa’s expected entrance, kids and their parents were treated to a sneak peek of Ballet San Angelo’s The Nutcracker which was held the Bealls court.

One of the members of Ballet San Angelo was Sarah Young. Sarah, who has been in the Nutcracker for seven years, has been able to keep it fresh and new because, “I always get a different role every year.”
For this year’s 2018 two-act, Tchaikovsky classic, Sarah has three roles—a party girl named Victoria, a cake baker whose name is Rose; and a soldier named Lila.

This year’s Nutcracker scheduled performances are Friday December 14 through Sunday, December 16 at the Murphy Performance Hall located in the City Auditorium.

After Ballet San Angelo’s performance and Santa’s season greetings, Sabrina Tatsch, Sunset Mall General Manager, gave away four wrapping papers and two family four-packs of tickets to The Nutcracker. This event was sponsored by Amerigroup and KIXY 94.7 F.M.
