SAN ANGELO – Not even a night of "spooky" showers could deter Super Boy, Wolf Man, Dez "put up the X" Bryant fan, Spider Boy, Dia de la Muerte girl, Grote from Guardians of the Galaxy and other costume characters from taking up residence at Jerusalem Assembly of God Church’s 3rd annual, Candy Land Halloween fest.

Although the life size board game, Candy Land was on display for the 3rd year, for the second consecutive year it was held indoors at JAG tonight from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. because of bad weather. Pastor Jon McCullough, wife, Charity and 40 staff members were on hand to host this popular holiday "Spook-tacular" event.

Pastor McCullough informed Conexión that after the families and their children registered, they visited a total of 12 different candy games on the board, ranging from Lollipop Woods, to Chocolate Swamp, Candy Cane Lane, Donutopia, Ice Cream Sea, Carmel City, Gumdrop Mountain, Wheel of Blessing, etc.

As for food and beverages, JAG provided hot dogs, chips, bottled water. And of course, the staple of all Halloween parties—various candies: snickers, starburst, lollipops, twix, etc.

“I want a safe event that people can come to that shows we care about our community.” “We want to give to them,” concluded McCullough.
