SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Chapter of Texas Business Women's 2021 Christmas Banquet/ Awards recognized two women: one business owner, Elaine Moore who supports women furthering their education. The second one was Laura Whisenhunt who was mentored by the TBW organization. And a third organization, the Small Business Development Center mirrors TBW’s own mission--to empower and encourage women entrepreneurs.

TBW President Laura Whisenhunt stated to Flaco Guapo Media that along with the TBW of the Year award, two new awards were added: the Community Advocate Award, and Outstanding Community Service.

The TBW Outstanding Community Service Award: Elaine Moore, business owner of Angelo Awards. This award was developed to honor a TBW member who is making significant contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents, and dedication. Moore is that person who wholeheartedly supports other women in obtaining their education.

The TBW Community Advocate: Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
This award is given to an outstanding individual or organization that has been dedicated to supporting Texas Business Women. This award goes to an individual or business that constantly helps others and puts them first.  The SBDC under the director, David Erickson, last June sponsored 26 attendees for the TBW’s 2021 State Conference held at the Marriott in San Angelo, Texas.
