SAN ANGELO – When it comes to wanting to have a baby, for someone like Nicole Sánchez to wait 10 years when her biological clock is ticking can seem like an eternity! In 2009, Isaac and Nicole Sánchez were married at the age of 23-years-old.

The young couple tried to have a baby during that stretch. As the years rolled on it became increasing more of a testing period to Nichole’s faith in the Lord, her fortitude and heart as her youngest brother, Brandon Aguilar stated, “she’s always wanted to have a baby.” “Some difficulties here and there along the way. . . this baby is a miracle for her” he said.

Finally, after a 10-year, miracle, faith testing period, Isaac and Nicole, had great news for both sides of their families when they made a joyous announcement at their “Blue or Pink What Do You Think Gender Reveal” party which was held Saturday afternoon, April 13 at Los Panchitos. A gender reveal party celebration is where the expectant parents reveal to their families, guests and friends the sex of the baby.

Rather than reveal the gender identity of the baby, let’s build up the suspense a little bit more. After all, if Nicole had to wait, let’s let her reveal her baby’s gender to our readers rather than this reporter.

First, the Sánchez/ Aguilar family connection made sure to make this a really special occasion for Nicole who deserved it. “Before she found out she was pregnant, she had already talked about us having a gender reveal party,” said Arrin Canales, who was honored to be asked by Nicole to be her coordinator, along with Nicole’s young sibling, Brandon. “I actually went with Nicole to her scheduled appointment.” “We got to hear the baby’s heartbeat and a sonogram.” Just seeing Nicole happy made me very excited for her” said Arrin.

Nicole stated to Flaco Guapo Media that their first-born child is due on September 24th. The birth will take place at Shannon Women and Children's Hospital.

Congrats to Isaac, Nicole and their families on the long 10-year period as the joyous announcement of good tidings that a child will be born to this young couple, who remained steadfast, and faithful to their God, their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

“The baby is going to be a blessing to both families.” All of us will get to cherish either our niece or nephew” Brandon said. “Literally everybody has been waiting for this moment to happen,” concluded Arrin.

And then the moment came to reveal the baby’s gender as 55 attendees got to see Nicole and Isaac open a box that said “It’s a . . .” On the count of three, when the box was opened, four balloons fluttered upward, with the color pink, revealing that it was—a girl!

Nicole informed Flaco Guapo prior to the posting of the pink balloons, that she had already picked out the name if it was a girl--Milagros Faith, to which Isaac concurred.

Nicole stated that both her mom, Diane Aguilar and grandmother, Elodia Hill, had been praying for years for Nicole to have a child. Although Nicole and husband, Isaac had waited for a very, very long time, their families had waited alongside of them as well. But on this Saturday the wait was worth it all as Nicole’s mom and grandmother were very excited and happy for her and Isaac as that 10-year wait was finally over.

The other proud grandmother, Martha Lewis, Isaac’s mom, had several thoughts on her mind that she shared. “I’m going to teach her about God’s love.” And. “She’s going to be a strong, lefty soccer player.” Why a lefty? “Because Isaac used to play on the left side.”

Isaac when interviewed by Flaco Guapo said he had played soccer since he was a little boy. When Sánchez got older, he played defender, midfield and striker and was good enough to play with the varsity soccer team in high school but chose to play with his group.

That’s why grandma Martha sees her granddaughter, Faith, being a future all-star, lefty soccer player. Martha concluded by saying she is looking forward to being officially, and finally, a doting grandma who is going to spoil her grandbaby, Milagros Faith, “to the moon and back!”
